Bishop Derrick L. McRae, Senior Pastor of The Experience Christian Center in Orlando, Florida, first answered the call to ministry in 1997 and became licensed under the Church of God in Christ in 1998. He served as a youth pastor for two prominent ministries in Central Florida which afforded him the opportunity to serve, learn, lead, and grow ministry. This role served as a launchpad for not only his ministry, but his business and entrepreneurial endeavors.

At the age of 35, Bishop McRae established and began his pastorate of The Experience Christian Center "where souls are saved, lives are changed, and God is given all the praise". In 2009, he held his first service on Watch Night with more than 700 in attendance. The first official Sunday service featured only 22 members. Presently, The Experience Christian Center is the church home to over 1,600 members and continues to grow at a phenomenal rate.

In eleven short years, The Experience Christian Center, under the leadership of Bishop McRae, has proudly served over 148,000 community members through various outreach efforts. They also have an online viewership that averages 2,000 people a week through a combination of weekly bible studies and Sunday services. The high-energy, charismatic,

robust worship experience is like non other in the country. Bishop McRae’s inspiring, yet relevant messages and infectious personality make him a highly sought-after preacher, teacher, and motivational speaker.

Throughout his life and ministry, he has demonstrated a caliber of leadership and insight beyond his years. Recognized as an instructor, preacher, lecturer, motivational speaker, church growth coach, mentor, talk show host, drummer, radio personality, choir director and business owner — Bishop Derrick L. McRae is an anointed man of God whose voice calls for national and global leadership that enhances the quality of life for all people.

Bishop McRae currently serves as the President of the African American Council of Christian Clergy. He also serves as Chaplain at Saints Academy School and mentor at Lockhart Middle School.

In addition to Pastoring and Teaching, he also serves on the following boards: African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida, Orange County Parks and Recreation, My Brother's Keeper Orlando, and Orlando Economic Partnership Taskforce.

Bishop Derrick L. McRae is a doting husband to Lady Taja C. McRae and father of two sons, Brailon and Derrick II, and daughter, Kayla.

A native of Portsmouth, VA, Taja is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University earning her Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Services. In addition to earning a Registered Nurse degree postgrad, she earned her Masters of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology at Troy State University. She has worked in the Orange County Public Schools system as a student counselor for over 25 years encouraging students to work hard to achieve their academic goals.

Her love for helping to develop the greatness in those around her is further evident in her mentorship and personal work in her church and community. More specifically, she has a passion to see women from all ages and backgrounds living at their fullest potential. She humbly serves as the First Lady of The Experience Christian Center in Orlando, FL where she established a thriving women’s ministry known as “F.I.R.E”: Favor in Rare Essence. Through this ministry, women are strengthened, empowered, and inspired to see themselves through the lens of God. She is a down to earth, fun-loving, well balanced woman of faith who is committed to the growth and development of the mind, body, and spirit. It was at The Experience Christian Center where she was licensed as a minister in 2018. Additionally, she is a proud and active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.

As a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) specializing in Life, Relationship and Energy Leadership (ELI-MP) Coaching, she demonstrates the unique ability to coach from the inside out-- tapping into the core of an individual to assist them in unlocking areas of their life that may lie dormant and untapped. She is most fulfilled when she is helping individuals create awareness and enhance their perspective to unlock their full potential and to empower them to live an extraordinary life.

She is married to the love of her life, Bishop Derrick L. McRae who is the Senior Pastor at The Experience Christian Center in Orlando, FL. Her pride and joy are her three children, Brailon, Derrick II and Kayla. Taja has a heart to serve others and naturally provides emotional, spiritual, and psychological support to anyone in need.
